Our new oven might be too complicated

For a Sunday roast dinner today, M decided on roast lamb. After cooking it for an hour, she went to check on its status only to realise that she had heated the wrong oven, so it hadn't cooked at all. It would have taken too long to roast it, so she made us mince & mash instead.

She decided to cook it for dinner instead. SHE HEATED THE WRONG OVEN AGAIN! I fried some sausages for our tea.

    M I didn't heat the oven, because I used the temperature control for the wrong oven with the selector for the right oven. The wrong oven didn't work without a mode selected, and the right oven didn't work without the temperature selected. I fail at oven controls, but I didn't waste energy. Regardless, there's still a large lump of lamb that needs to be cooked, but 2.5 hours will have to happen tomorrow

    Rick Brown Now I've posted here, you won't heat the wrong oven for a third time tomorrow ... or perhaps I'll cook instead, in which case it'll be the right oven but we will undoubtedly have other disasters.

    M Chances are that I'll be home earlier than Rick, so hopefully third time will be the charm and I'll get the hang of this unintuitive oven.

    T I'm with M, all the controls for one oven should be on one side of the panel, and the others on the opposing side. Inner and outer doesn't make much sense.
